Finding love in all the right places.
Not online!
Start by looking inside, not outside.
Find right life partner. Becoming a successful person does not mean becoming wealthy like those characters who are hiding their money offshore and avoiding taxes.
Of course, we all need a certain amount of money to live, but restricting success to that materialistic definition is a cause for heartache.
Just ask those Swedish multi-millionaires who, in a study asking them what brought them the most satisfaction in their lives, replied: family and friends.
Finding our life’s purpose is probably the most serious and vexing question we have to answer as humans.
In order to do that we must know ourselves. Self-knowledge is the key to solving that mystery.
That is my first mission at Self-Knowledge College: helping you figure that out.
The second most important thing
I’ve learned from you (and myself) is finding true love–whatever that is!
We humans seem to have a terrible time finding someone to love who loves us back–in a spousal way.
IT IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
- It is true that many people do not require this.
- They do not see it as a value.
- They may find a life’s purpose is sufficient and they have a no serious relationships with others, including a significant other.
- They may find they have tried often, been hurt always, and have given up.
- They may have found that their attempts at relationships have never paid off for them
- They may hold on to something else as a value instead.
- Or nothing
That’s fine: then this subject is of no interest to them.
FOR THOSE WHO DO WANT LOVE, BUT HAVE NOT FOUND IT YET, YOU ARE IN LUCK…AND I’M SERIOUS
We define this kind of relationship in many ways: husband, wife, lover, mate, partner.
It doesn’t matter which word you use, we know what it means, we know many of us don’t have it, and we know most of us want it.
THAT IS WILL BE OUR SECOND MAIN EXPLORATION:
HOW CAN WE FIND THE RIGHT PARTNER
It is considered a mystery but it is not a mystery to those who have found it.
AND IT WON’T BE A MYSTERY TO YOU EITHER IF YOU STAY WITH ME.
We’ll explore why some people have found love, why some haven’t, and how those who haven’t found it, can do so.
Start by looking inside, not outside. (We’ll get to this next time.)
People search for a partner using terms such as these:
- partners for life
- finding a life partner
- seeking a life partner
- looking for a life partner
- etc.
None of this will work.
It’s superficial, pleading, unattractive work.
Yes, we know you want a partner but searching for one online like this isn’t going to cut it.
You have to look Inside first, not outside.
Why?
(Soon, I’ll explain. I promise!)
Finding someone to love means starting with the idea of love.
The words “I Love You” are very common, uttered millions of times a day and are usually misplaced.
Why?
Because most people do not know the meanings of those words.
Well, OK ‘most’ may be the wrong word; perhaps millions of people all over the world do get this right. (I doubt it, but OK.)
But in our society, North American, western European society and other places like them, we do not.
The divorce statistics indicate we simply don’t know what we are saying when we speak of love.
That’s one of the first things we’ll examine in this second part if the focus of Self-KnowledgeCollege.
Life Purpose and Love–those are the big topics.
This doesn’t mean we’ll abandon other important topics such as time, procrastination, values, etc.
But we will address them in relation to our two big themes.
SO, WHAT NOW?
If you don’t have a handle on who you (really) are and what you want in life
…or if you have not yet found love and are desperate to do so, stick around.
I’m not saying I have all the answers but I do have the questions and if you can answer them well, you will find the answers yourself.
- You will be successful in these two searches.
- I’ll be your coach, your guide, your godfather.
- You will be more successful in your personal and professional life
I feel confident in assuring you of it.
If you could have done this by yourself, you would have done it by now.
This time, I’ll be with you.
